Struggling to pick the perfect film to watch whilst you eat dinner on the couch? Cinemetrica helps you find shit just like the shit you love. How do we know it's like it? Because we analysed every one of these and across goddamned dimensions — plot complexity, humor register, pacing, etc. Name a few titles that hit and we walk the weighted vector space to find the closest neighbors. Or skip the seeds entirely — hit a mood, crack open the dimensions panel, run it raw.
The star field is the library. Every star is a title, placed by how it actually plays — similar titles cluster together, and bigger stars are higher rated on IMDb & Rotten Tomatoes. Drag to spin, scroll to zoom. Every search and filter lights up the sky.
Start typing a title or a director, then pick from the dropdown — a title seeds just that one, a director seeds their whole body of work. Shift-click any result to stack a second seed, or a third — try stacking five or six to build sick constellations. The dropdowns beside the search box filter by genre, era, or country, and every tag on a result card is a one-click filter too. Toggle between Films, TV, and Both on the strip above.
One-click viewing moods — Cosmic Dread, Slow Cinema, Fever Dream, Romantic Aches, and dozens more. Each one is a shortcut that pulls the whole library toward a particular feeling. Apply one on its own, layer it on a seed, or stack it on top of the dimensions panel below. Hit Shuffle to re-roll the visible presets.
Filter by how a title feels. Set a minimum blended Rating floor across IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes, then drag any of eight taste dials: Austere ↔ Opulent, Candid ↔ Intrigue, Cool ↔ Warm, Light ↔ Heavy, Grounded ↔ Fantastical, Slow ↔ Propulsive, Intimate ↔ Epic, Earnest ↔ Ironic. Each dial quietly blends several underlying scores into one simple pull. Untouched dials do nothing; only the ones you drag change the results.
This is how you get granular. Every individual score the library uses — all 38 of them, grouped into Narrative, Visual, Tonal, and Meta — is exposed as a dual-thumb range slider. Reach for these when a taste dial is close but not quite right: put a floor under Plot Complexity, cap Violence Intensity, pin a window of Emotional Depth. Everything composes with everything above it.
